- Internet Access
Banff Caribou Lodge and Spa has partnered with Cinemaworks to provide High Speed Internet connectivity to our guests. Currently, each room is wired with an Ethernet Network connection which allows a laptop to access the internet with a few easy to follow instructions. Our system is compatible with MAC and PC and is complimentary to all hotel guests.
For guests traveling without a laptop, a public Internet kiosk is available in the lobby. There is a small charge for usage.
Instructions for Connecting in a Guest Room:
- Ensure laptop is powered off - VERY IMPORTANT.
- Plug network cable into laptop (cable provided in each room).
- Power on laptop.
- Open up web browser - (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, etc.)
- Internet Login site will appear automatically.
- Choose between Standard or VPN highspeed internet. Note: there is no speed difference between the two.
- Standard - used to surf internet and check web mail like yahoo and hotmail.
- VPN - allows a guest to use a VPN connection to access their company's network through the internet.
Wireless Connectivity Outside of Your Guest Room
Public areas are equipped with a wireless access point should you wish to access the internet in the Keg Restaurant or in the hotel lobby.
Instructions for Connecting to wireless access points
Prior to departure, please check with your network administrator that:
- Your laptop is 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g compliant.
- Your laptop is configured to automatically accept an IP address (Dynamic DHCP).
