The establishment of the Sign of the Goat Curio Shop built in 1904 in the Pagoda Railway Style architecture and the Luxton Museum of the Plains Indian in 1952 by Norman Luxton signified his strong rapport with the Stoney Indians. Luxton traded with the Stoners from a small post at Morley (located between Banff and Calgary) and sold their bead work and furs at the Curio Shop. His personal collection of native artifacts and handwork formed the basis of the Luxton Museum's exhibitions.
